Planning A Tour?

Start with the main Kelowna wine tours guide to compare routes, pickup, tasting fees, private options, and current booking details.

Yes. Kelowna Wine Tours currently offers Naramata Bench, Oliver, and Osoyoos wine tours with two practical pickup options: guests can start in the Kelowna area, or KWT can travel south for an arranged pickup in Naramata, Oliver, or Osoyoos and drive the group around that destination. These are longer South Okanagan service days for the vehicle and guide, even when guests join the tour locally.

Each package includes four selected winery visits, standard tasting fees, transportation with a local guide, route and appointment planning, and bottled water. A required $300 South Okanagan travel fee is added once per booking and still applies when pickup is arranged in the destination region.

How the three routes compare

All three routes use the same basic format, but the travel time and regional character change as the destination moves farther south.

Naramata Bench: the shortest South Okanagan option

The current Signature Naramata Bench tour page estimates an 8–9 hour day with four selected winery visits. For guests starting in the Kelowna area, Naramata Bench is the natural first choice for a South Okanagan destination day without travelling as far as Oliver or Osoyoos. Lake views, hillside vineyards, orchards, and the concentrated Bench route give it a clear sense of place.

The Naramata Bench booking page lists the current winery pool and package details. Preferred wineries can be added in the booking notes, but they remain requests until appointments and route timing are confirmed.

Oliver: a longer day in southern wine country

The current Signature Oliver tour page estimates 9–10 hours and includes four selected winery visits. Oliver suits guests who want to spend the day deeper in the South Okanagan, where dry hills, vineyard benches, and a broad range of estates create a different experience from Central Okanagan routes.

The Oliver booking page shows the regional winery pool. The final four stops depend on appointment availability, group size, route flow, and the practical timing of the day.

Osoyoos: the longest destination day

The current Signature Osoyoos tour page estimates 10–11 hours with four selected winery visits. This is the strongest fit for guests who specifically want the far south of the valley. Guests starting in the Kelowna area should expect the longest ride of the three routes, while arranged Osoyoos pickup keeps the guest portion of the day local. The scenery becomes drier and more open, with vineyards set among warm hills near Osoyoos Lake.

Review the Osoyoos booking page before choosing it simply because it is farthest south. For Kelowna-area pickup, the longer day should match the group's energy, dinner plans, and comfort with extended vehicle time. Destination pickup reduces guest travel time, but it does not remove the $300 fee.

Current pricing and the required travel fee

At publication, the three South Okanagan pages show a Signature sale price of $139.50 per person, reduced from $159.50, and a Premium sale price of $169.50 per person, reduced from $199.50. The mandatory $300 travel fee is added once per booking, not once per guest. Prices, promotions, package details, and availability can change, so the selected page and checkout total are the final references before payment.

The travel fee covers the added South Okanagan operating distance and time for the vehicle and guide. It applies whether guests ride south from the Kelowna area or KWT travels south to collect the group in Naramata, Oliver, or Osoyoos for a local route.

What is included, and what stays flexible

The current packages include eligible pickup and return, transportation with a local guide, standard winery tasting fees, four selected winery visits, appointment and route planning, and bottled water. Optional premium tastings, food, wine purchases, and other upgrades can cost extra. Meals are not included unless the package or a written confirmation specifically says otherwise.

A preferred winery list is useful, but it is not a fixed itinerary. Winery hours, tasting appointments, group capacity, traffic, weather, and route timing can all affect the final plan. The tour policies explain that locations, wineries, pickup times, and route order may change when practical conditions require it.

Regional per-person tours may also be shared unless private status is confirmed in writing. Guests who need a private vehicle should settle that point before payment rather than assuming the destination makes the tour private.

Which route should different groups choose?

Choose Naramata Bench for the shortest of the three destination days and a lake-view vineyard setting near Penticton. Choose Oliver for a deeper South Okanagan experience with a large regional winery pool and a 9–10 hour schedule. Choose Osoyoos when the far-south landscape is the priority and a 10–11 hour day feels comfortable.

Guests who prefer less driving should compare the regular Kelowna wine tour regions. The existing Kelowna route comparison covers West Kelowna, East Kelowna, Lake Country, and Summerland, which are different decisions from these longer South Okanagan routes.

Before booking, confirm the exact pickup address, date, guest count, mobility needs, desired privacy, and any firm evening commitment. South Okanagan touring works best when the whole day is kept open and the final winery lineup remains flexible.
