Why it stands out
8th Generation Vineyard brings a long family winemaking story from Rheinhessen to Summerland. Bernd and Stefanie Schales trace the family grape-growing tradition back to 1783, then carried that experience into the Okanagan after moving to British Columbia in 2003. Their Summerland property was acquired in 2007 and remains a hands-on family winery with estate vineyards close to Okanagan Lake.

This stop is a strong fit for guests who like smaller family wineries, cool-climate whites, Pinot-focused wines, and a direct sense of place. The Summerland estate vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Riesling, Syrah, and Pinot Meunier, with the lake helping moderate the growing season.
