About Wild Goose Vineyards

Why it stands out

Wild Goose Vineyards is a historic Okanagan Falls winery that helped shape British Columbia's farm-gate winery model. Founder Adolf Kruger purchased land east of Okanagan Falls in 1983, first planted Riesling and Gewurztraminer, and Wild Goose became BC's seventeenth winery when it was established in June 1990.

What to expect on a visit

Guests can expect aromatic white wines, Okanagan Falls vineyard character, a tasting room in the heart of wine country, and a property now stewarded by the Wyse family of Burrowing Owl Vineyards. Wild Goose works from three vineyard sites, including the Okanagan Falls home vineyard, Mystic River near Oliver, and Sumac Slope.

Tour planning notes

Wild Goose is a strong Okanagan Falls stop for guests who enjoy local wine history, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, and an approachable tasting-room setting. It works well when the route should include one of the older names in BC wine alongside newer or more boutique stops.
